Our immensely popular Winter Workshops have become an annual fixture in many local musicians' calendars. Our next event will be on Saturday 4 January 2025 when we will rehearse and informally perform Bruckner's monumental Symphony No. 9. The event is open to string players of grade 8+ standard. Woodwind, brass and percussion by invitation.

Date: Saturday 4 January 2025, 10am - 6pm, with informal performance at 5pm

Cost: free for orchestra members, £25 for non-members to help cover costs (£15 for students)

Morning session: 

10.00 - 11.10 full rehearsal

11.10 - 11.30 break and refreshments

11.30 - 12.20 sectionals

12.30 - 1.00 full rehearsal

1.00 - 2.00 lunch. Recommended to bring your own lunch, as the shops are a 10-15 minute walk away

​

Afternoon session: 

2.00 - 3.15 full rehearsal

3.15 - 3.30 break

3.30 - 4.30 full rehearsal

4.30 - 5.00 break and refreshments

5.00 - 5.40 informal performance. Members of the public are welcome to attend. Suggested donation: £10
